Super fun app

Tetris and Bejeweled just got dethroned!  Monsters Ate My Condo is the new king of puzzle apps!  Combine like-colored condos for combos.  Feed giant animated monsters the right color condos to keep them happy… or they bust your tower down to nuthin.  Well worth the $0.99 price tag.

Public marketing is fun!

Oooh, look!  Live-Action Angry Birds!

Not that the brand needs any marketing, but the folks over at T-Mobile set up a huge Angry Birds themed event in Barcelona.  Really fun stuff.

App + Musical Island + Fun!

Looking for a fun way to while away your otherwise mundane free time?  Check out Isle of Tune!  The game lets you build a small town of musically responsive structures.  You layout homes, trees, stop lights, etc along a road.  As cars pass your creations, each one beeps or hums out a preset tune.  It’s doesn’t take long to get a fun and catchy melody going!

Check out it out at the app store.

Can your smart phone spy snoop your emails?

iPhone with disguise glasses

A new study has concluded that your sweet, innocent iPhone could be listening in on your typing!

The basic premise is that the accelerometer can judge which keys you’re punching on your keyboard… so long as it’s on your desk.  Preliminary tests have returned an 80% success rate.  Keep that in mind the next time you’re posting a slanderous comment online.

MySpyPhone for the full scoop

We’ve all downloaded games that ended up falling short of their stylish graphics.  Gesundheit does just the opposite.  When we first saw this game, it looked too simple to be worth further investigation.  Thank nunsense we gave it a try!

Gesundheit is the story of an adorable green pig, ostracized from his peers due to his intense sneezing / snotting.  However, when giant red and blue monsters attack, it’s up to him to save the jerks from impending consumption.

Controls are super easy.  Tap where you want your lil’ green pig to skip to.  Pull back and release to have him blow a green gob of snot.  Oh, did I mention the monsters Lo-o-oooooooooooove eating pig snot?  Well, they do.  If they see the snot, they go for it.  This is great, if you are trying to avoid being eaten, yourself.

The game has you plotting strategies to lure the monsters into giant ground worm traps.  After you have successfully trapped or disposed of all monsters on screen, you’re off to the next level.

Gesundheit will provide hours of fun, and moments of near tablet-tossing frustration.  Well worth the price!

Go! iPhone 5 production

09/09/2011 1 comment

Ok folks, it’s that time of year again.  Board up your windows and avoid the malls… the iPhone 5 is coming!  Yes, soon your friends and co workers will be camped out in front of your local apple retailer desperately trying to get their sweaty hands on a brand spankin new iPhone 5.

Reports suggest that October is the big release.  And maybe apple will be able to keep up with the demand this time.  Maybe.  Rumor has it that Foxconn is spitting out 150k iPhone 5s’ a day.  However, as iOS5 is still not complete, they must be sitting there waiting for the final system install before shipping.

Allegedly the new device will feature a whopping 4 inch wide screen and an 8mp camera.  Surely there will be a cavalcade of other features to get shoppers frothing at the mouths.  We’ll have to wait and see at the next conference.
